Best Positive Quotes of All Time

I was perusing the web recently and wanted a little “Pick me up”, and I decided to put together this post. It has been a stressful week, and after taking the time to relax last night I have a clear mind ready to face the coming days in a more positive light.

Positive Quotes Influence My Life

(Paradise) Cay of Turks and Caicos One thing that I always found important for my path to success was reading positive literature. Whether it’s grabbing a copy of The Power of Now or taking a second to write down my goals, I’ve always believed that surrounding yourself with a positive surrounding is paramount to breaking away from negativity. One important facet of creating this positive environment is reading positive quotes. Whether you look for them on the web, or write them on your vision board, interweaving them within your environment is extremely powerful. They provide a constant reminder of your deep passions, and allow you too witness the thought process of the many great minds in the world. Any quote will do as long as it strikes a chord and fuels the passion within you.

Some of My Favorite Positive Quotes

Here are a couple of my favorite quotes. Feel free to copy, print or write them down if they mean something positive to you. I’m a business oriented person who has lofty goals in life, so these are the quotes that mean the most to me.

“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”

- Dale Carnegie

“I think that much of the advice given to young men about saving money is wrong. I never saved a cent until I was forty years old. I invested in myself – in study, in mastering my tools, in preparation. Many a man who is putting a few dollars a week into the bank would do much better to put it into himself.”

- Henry Ford

“Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

- Winston Churchill

“Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today.”

- Benjamin Franklin

“Opportunity is missed by most people, because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

- Thomas Edison

“Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”

- Thomas Edison

What Do These Positive Quotes Mean to Me?

Thomas EdisonEach of these quotes is from a heavy hitter in the world’s history. With names like Edison and Ford appearing above, there is no doubt in my mind that If I follow their mindset, I WILL BE SUCCESSFUL. The general theme of these quotes is that hard work does pay off, and ultimately that is 100% true and will continue to be true throughout the whole existence of the human race.

So my parting words of wisdom are: Search for quotes that fuel your personal positive mindset. Those quotes are what works for me and keep me driven to produce the most I can each day.

Step up, take action and rule the world!

My Immediate Goals for the Year 3/3/12

At the moment, I have a few different ideas up my sleeve and need to sit down and corral them. I’ve written a couple of posts on this sites about setting daily, weekly and yearly goals, so I’m going to track my own goals in this blog to give you an idea of just exactly what setting goals is all about. I find that writing things down is a strong indicator of their impending fruition.

I want to accomplish these things over the year:

  • Finish building my four websites and generate a daily income of $200 a day from them part time;
  • Pay my car completely off (I owe $8000);
  • Successfully navigate my current semester of classes and finish with over a 3.5 GPA for the semester; and
  • Save $15000 in the bank.

Each one of these goals I feel are completely achievable if I stay on track and follow a plan. So for my own sanity, here is a breakdown of exactly what I’m going to do.

to Sanity?

Website Building

This has captured my interest and every ounce of free time as of late, but I’ve become obsessed with the idea of building my own internet empire. Initially I was running a business dedicated to buying from eBay and Craigslist and selling on Amazon. As that business grew, I found a need for a website to send my customers too and answer any frequently asked questions that they may have. Little did I know, but this small website project spawned a monster, and I soon found myself learning principles of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and trying out different ideas.

I found initial success with my main site that spun out of my business and have seen earnings from $2 to $80 in one day with consistent earnings of around $15 to $20 a day. This was great, but as always the human greed monster wanted more. From here on, I developed a plan to expand my enterprises across 4 more websites. I picked topics that I was passionate about, performed solid keyword research and purchased or created domains to meet my needs.

Building

This has since provided me with a huge challenge of creating content, backlinking and ensuring that each site receives tender loving care. I find myself growing more efficient as the days pass, but I’m still finding ways to improve and develop my empire into something great. I’ve adopted the following mantra as of today:

Quality beats quantity. If I build a great site, I will be treated great in return.

This is how I’m going to approach my sites from now on. I still have a ton of more ideas to develop into new sites, but for the next few months, I’m going to focus on developing the sites I have started into true gems. This will help me achieve my goal of $200 a day on a consistent basis.

Paying my Car Off

Vision Automotriz- El Mazda 3 Hatchback 2010 llega a MexicoThis is a task that I have recently set my sites on, only because I’ve learned to budget my money more appropriately. Right now I’m putting money away in my savings account and IRA with each paycheck, and have found myself with a few dollars left over after each pay day. Instead of wasting this money frivolously, I plan to put it to work and pay of my auto loan. I currently pay $294 a month, but have decided that I must pay $600 a month to meet my goals. This is going to take some extra frugality on my part, but I think I’m up for the challenge.

Achieving Good Grades for the Semester

Lately, I’ve become somewhat lethargic towards my master’s courses. This is in part because I spend each day working on subject matter relating to my degree (research), and because the material just doesn’t seem that challenging. This is not the instructors fault, simple a matter of seeing the recycling of most of my undergraduate coursework in these classes. Couple that with the four hour class length, and I have found it more difficult to absorb information and provide my true undivided attention.

I feel that a stronger effort must be made on my behalf to balance my passions out and rekindle the fire I once had towards school work. Lately I have been all business and I think my dedication to building a strong following online has led to the suffering of my learning. This is why I’m writing this entry, to get myself balanced back out and focused on the bigger picture of things. Yes, my internet businesses will provide strong income throughout my future, but building a solid foundation for my career is equally as important. The internet is not going anywhere and neither are my passions, so I must take the time to balance myself out and provide equal attention to all subjects at hand.

Achieving Good Grades for the Semester

School BadgesThis upcoming week I have midterms in both of my classes. I began preparation last week by reviewing old PowerPoint slides. The minute I finish this post, I’m going to direct my attention towards reviewing more material for my Monday exam. I think that review the coursework, drafting my own practice test, and making an effort to answer possible questions as thoroughly as possible will guarantee my success. Admittedly I feel pretty comfortable with the material, but blowing off preparation will only hurt my chances at success.

Money in the Bank

By following my previous three goals, I will not only have a stronger focus at curbing my wasted spending, but I will have a better focus on my life and what I want to achieve. Building my sites to where I want them, putting effort into my education, and paying off my care loan will provide myself with greater Moneyincome and no debt to enter next year. One goal that I have on my mind all the time is my dream of owning a great home. I think that putting consistent work towards the goals mentioned above will allow me to meet my goal of having $15,000 in the bank, and free up monthly income previously tied up in payments and debt. I will set myself up for an excellent future and prove to be successful and a great example to my family and friends looking to set themselves up for financial and mental security.

I thank you for reading. Have a great day!

The Power of a Vision Board

I touched on the subject of a vision board in my previous post about My Path to Success with Positive Affirmations. I discussed the power of setting daily goals and creating smaller steps which ultimately lead towards the bigger picture. Today I want to talk about vision boards and their role of achieving goals both big and small. In my opinion, there are two types of vision boards necessary for success: The Big Picture and Weekly Goal Setter.

The Big Picture

This is the type of vision board that contains your lifetime goals. You would include pictures of your ultimate vacation and places you want to travel, the various cars you dream of driving, the Utopian dream house on the water, your perfect career or source of income…include pictures and words that evoke passion and creativity for your soul.

If your in a relationship, this makes a great project to sit down and complete as a couple. Share your passions with each other and align your visions to supercharge your success. Nothing is more powerful than two like minded individuals pushing each other towards ultimate success.

Weekly Goal Setter

I’ve always believed that keeping a list of goals for the day and week, not only keep you efficient and productive, but keep you on track towards your main goals. Each main goal can be broken down into numerous smaller tasks or milestones, which make you feel more accomplished and offer a direct measure of your current success.

List goals that you know you can accomplish for the day, or ones that will push you to the next level. This is stuff like writing an essay, trying that new workout or diet plan, watching or attending a new seminar, keeping track of your spending, or even allowing yourself time to relax and center.

I urge you to use both of these vision boards right away if you’re serious about success. You owe it to yourself to supplement your growth and stay on track.

My Path to Success with Positive Affirmations

I would like to take a second and thank every single person that visits this site. I’m just overjoyed that I can begin this website and share the positive feelings that I have learned to cultivate over time. My ultimate goals is not only to keep myself on track in a positive light, but helpfully reach others that are looking for a change in the right direction. I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you have come from…if you are willing to make a change and begin taking action in the right direction, then you will be successful bottom line.

How to be more Positive

I’ve always been a strong believer in consistent hard work. I’ve met the girl of my dreams, started numerous businesses, and I’m currently in the pursuit of my master’s degree. This is all because of consistent hard work. Prior to my awakening towards increased positivity, I found myself in the classroom with poor marks and a lazy attitude. I always knew that I could be a successful person, but I didn’t yet have the strong foundation of values and attitude towards action needed to cultivate success.

Well, I received my first report card freshman of college with a big fat 2.2 GPA. This was a far cry from the ‘easy’ 3.5 I earned in High School, but served as a huge wake up call that I needed to do something about my life. After this realization, I began taking small yet consistent steps.

Start Setting Goals

I know it seems obvious, but you would be surprised about how many people don’t set goals. I’m not talking about long term dreams and aspirations here (although those are AMAZING!), I’m talking about the measurable daily and weekly goals that keep one on the path to success. These are the simple daily tasks: Completing homework, reading positive quotes, keeping a list or agenda of the day’s errands, finding ways to cut daily spending, taking steps towards cultivating a determined attitude, etc.

If you take a second and think about a few, easily conceivable goals for your life, you will get the ball moving in the right direction. For me as a freshman, I knew that I needed to cut back on surfing the net and playing video games. I didn’t realize before my wake up call that my fancy new laptop computer was more of a distraction than a help. My daily goal was to shut the lid during class and start taking notes. Most of you probably think that this was easy, but I had struggles from time to time when class got boring. Aside from that, I made a solid consistent effort towards completing my homework in a more timely manner.

Every day when I felt myself wanting to procrastination, I told myself NO and forced myself to do homework. I found that when I forced myself to begin working towards a goal, that after a couple of minutes I simply forgot about procrastination and got into the work mode I’ve come to love.

Relish in your Successes

After I begin to force myself to think about and complete daily goals, I began to see a change in my attitude. Homework became easier to do, class became much more enjoyable, and tests became easier as consequence. After taking a few exams and really working on myself for a semester, I received a GPA of 2.77. This felt like the biggest success to me, as it was prove that my new mindset and attitude were working.

After that Spring semester, I was feeling ambitious and enrolled in 3 summer classes (they weren’t easy ones too). This became a real test for my character and attitude, as I found the accelerated nature of summer classes to be challenging. Never the less, I promised myself that I would be successful, and proceeded to study hard and meet my daily goals.

While some of my friends were out partying or asking me to come hang out, I had to study every day to keep up with the pace of class. This was hard, because it was summer after all and I did not want to miss out. Before I knew it though, classes were over, I still had numerous weeks left of break and I was anxiously awaiting my grades. Through all of that hard work and dedication to the task at hand, I was able to achieve a GPA of 3.4 for the semester. Once again this was a huge accomplishment and only stood to show me how powerful this dedication towards changing my attitude really was.

Positive Affirmation with Success

Throughout my whole transformation, I didn’t even realize the powerful driver of my success: Positive Affirmations. Each and every day when I was setting my goals, I envisioned and felt myself achieving those goals. I told myself:

“I study because I’m successful, and get good grades because I study.”

“I’m dedicated and hardworking and I know I will achieve results.”

“I see results when I keep setting goals.”

These phrases are what are called affirmations. I’m going to save the discussion on what affirmations are and how you write them for yourself for another post, but its important to understand that I truly believed in these phrases. Each time I told them to myself I felt it, and thus kept on the positive path towards positive thinking.
